EXPERIENCED JUMPERS

Reserve Parachute Repack Calculation

Experienced jumpers are always welcome to jump at Skydive Airtight . USPA membership and a USPA "A" license are the minimum requirements for experienced jumpers. "IN DATE" reserve parachutes are a must. We use Cessna 182 jump planes.  Jump altitudes are 2,000' to 12,000'.

All experienced skydivers must:

·         Fill out and sign Skydive Airtight Inc. waivers.

·         Show a current USPA membership card and license (if eligible) or foreign equivalent.

·         Show current reserve packing data card in date, FAA Rigger initial and seal/or the foreign equivalent.

·         Wear your helmet and seatbelt on the plane for take-off until 1,500 feet.

·         Fill out and sign any other applicable waivers.

·         Have fun!!!

Some jumpers revel in the close-knit culture and camaraderie of skydivers at their local dropzone and worldwide, dedicating all their free time to the sport and sometimes making a living at it. Others just need an occasional jump to clear their head and sharpen their senses.

            Wing Loading Calculator

                               IMPORTANT!

Please be aware, when buying a new canopy, wing loading is only half the consideration. The construction of the canopy is just as important i.e. a Sabre, Jedi and a Stiletto although all on the same wing loading will have a difference in performance. You should consider square vs. tapered vs. elliptical and F11 vs. Hybrid vs. ZP. The bottom line is to take advice from riggers, instructors and dealers. Be especially aware when buying 2nd hand canopies !
