Draw a crowd to your event with the excitement of a skydiving exhibition!

An Airtight exhibition or demonstration parachute jump is a skydive performed primarily for the enjoyment of spectators--at a sporting event, a mall opening, a convention--a site other than an established drop zone.

A properly staged exhibition jump can be a dramatic form of promotion for any special event or product. These jumps are performed routinely every year for professional sporting events, corporate social occasions, political and charitable fund raising events, high school football games, and at many other public and private affairs.

The FAA recognizes the PRO Rating, issued by the United States Parachute Association (USPA), as proof that the jumper is a qualified, professional skydiver, highly proficient and accurate in canopy control. PRO-Rated skydivers are required to have at least 500 parachute jumps using a ram-air parachute, also called a square canopy, and have completed stand-up landings within five meters of a specified target on ten consecutive jumps.

Since demonstration jumps require extensive official paperwork prior to the jump
,
Airtight professional exhibition jumpers register each event with the FAA weeks in advance.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

We fly directly to your event from the Skiatook Municipal Airport, and our ground crew will generally arrive approximately a half hour prior to the skydive. Upon arrival, they will get together with your point person. When the skydiving aircraft flies overhead, they will establish contact with the demonstration skydiving team.

The skydiving aircraft will make graceful circles around your event as it climbs to its mile high jump altitude. Then the door comes open and out plunge the skydivers into the wild blue.

Their descent will take between three and five minutes depending upon how long they freefall before unfurling their colorful parachutes. Their death defying descent will hold the spectators in awe as they touch down on your target area. The performers will pack up their parachutes as the spectators watch and will gladly answer any questions that the spectators may have.

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?

Prices for skydiving demonstrations will vary greatly depending on how close the landing area is to where the aircraft is stationed, the type of insurance package you select, the number of skydivers who will be jumping, and the type of jump you request.   Discuss cost in advance.
Airtight PRO's will explain all the elements of your "demo package" so you will know exactly what you are purchasing. USPA encourages demonstration jump insurance for all jumps to provide protection in the unlikely event that something will go wrong. Remember that very few skydiving accidents occur each year; the majority of accidents involve inexperienced parachutist rather than professional skydivers who will be jumping for your organization. All you have to do is plan the event. Skydive Airtight, Inc  takes care of all of the required Federal Aviation Administration forms and/or approvals prior to the event (some permits/waivers require thirty days notice, so try to plan well in advance).

The administrative and ground crew fee is $200. The jumper fee is $150 per skydiver per jump and our aircraft and pilot fee is $400 minimum up to four  jumpers.  Insurance is extra.

Example Demonstration Jump Cost Calculation:

Cost

+ Administrative/ ground crew fee

+ $200

+ Aircraft and pilot fee

+ $400

+ One jumper with the game ball

+ $150

Total Fee =

   $750

(These costs are based upon the event being within a fifty nautical mile radius from the Skiatook Airport and the jump being between the times of 4 pm until dark. Other locations and times may incur additional fees.)

HOW DO I GO ABOUT ARRANGING THIS?

First inspect the site that you would like us to land and make sure that it meets our requirements of at least 5000 square feet open area, and allow the jumper to fly under canopy no lower than 50 feet above the crowd and land no closer than 15 feet from the crowd line. If you believe that your landing zone is acceptable, call us at 1-918-396-PULL and let us know about your event and check to see if we have the date and time that you desire available.

Once we have established date availability and tentative price, please send a $100 non-refundable deposit to Skydive Airtight, Inc at PO Box 1209, Skiatook, OK 74070. The deposit goes towards the price of the demonstration skydive and is non-refundable.

Upon receiving the deposit, we will make arrangements to inspect the site, make a video of the area, mark its coordinates into our Global Positioning Receiver, and finalize our contract.

WHAT ABOUT THE WEATHER?

Because skydiving is extremely weather related, we must have your phone number at the jump site for the day of the jump. If the weather does not permit the skydive, we will call and notify you as soon as possible on that day. You may reschedule the skydiving exhibition for a mutually acceptable, preselected, alternate date.
